Author Guidelines

Guideline to write Title, Name, and Author Address

The title of the manuscript must be written at the top of the first page with the center line of the text alignment. Meanwhile, the author's name (without academic degree), and the address of the author's affiliation, must be written with the center text alignment as well as under the title. Authors must provide two spaces between title and author name. Then, the distance between the author's email and the abstract title is two spaces. Keywords should be written under the overall abstract for all words. Additionally, it must be separated by a semicolon (;) for a maximum of three to six words.

Corresponding authors should be written first and then followed by second author, third author, and so on. Communications regarding manuscript revisions and final statements will be informed by email to the first authors only. If there is more than one author, the author's name must be written separately with a comma (,). If the author's name consists of two words, the first name should not be abbreviated. If the author's name is only one word it should be written clearly. However, in the online version it will be written in two words with the same name repeatedly for metadata indexing purposes.

Manuscript General Guidelines
The general guidelines for the manuscript are as follows:

  • The submitted manuscripts are manuscripts that have never been published in other publication media or publishers.
  • The script does not contain any plagiarism element. The editorial board will immediately reject texts that show plagiarism.
  • Manuscripts that have been written under the guidance of the PARTICIPATORY: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (in MS Word format) must be submitted through the Online Submission System using the Open Journal System (OJS) on the PARTICIPATORY: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat portal (https://ejournal.iai-tabah.ac.id/index.php/Participatory) choose one procedure. Then, register as an author in the “Register”
  • Templates and script writing guides are available in MS Word (.doc) format and can be downloaded here.
  • Manuscripts that are not relevance with the guidelines for writing the Pena Dimas: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat will be returned to the author prior to the review process.
  • The manuscript must contain several aspects of the scientific article in the following order: (a) title, (b) author's name (without academic degree), (c) author's institution, (d) author's e-mail, (e) abstract and keywords, (f) introduction, (g) method of implementation, (h) results and discussion, (i) conclusions, (j) references.
  • Subtitles that are included in (a) introduction, (b) method of implementation, (c) results and discussion, (d) conclusions, and (e) suggestions must be numbered in order of numbering starting from one. Subtitles are written in bold format. It uses left text alignment without an underline. Subtitles are expanded, next should be written in bold and sentence format. It should use left text alignment and second-level numbering format.
  • Manuscripts are written in Indonesian with standard language. Manuscripts must be written based on the template and written on paper with a custom size of 18 cm (width) 25 cm (height) with a margin of 2.49-2.5-2.49-2 cm (Top-Left-Bottom-Right).
  • Manuscript text using Book Antiqua, 12 points, Bold, left with size , Arial, 14 points, Bold, centered, Book Antiqua, 12 points, Justify, Book Antiqua, 12 points, Justify and Book Antiqua, 11 points, Center for description tables/figures/graphs..
  • Words from foreign languages or those that are declared foreign are typed in Italic format. Each paragraph starts 10 mm from the left side border while there is no space between paragraphs.
  • Tables and figures are placed in a text group after the referenced table or image. Each image must be labeled (captioned) below the image and numbered followed by the image title. Each table must be given a table title (Table Caption) and numbered above the table followed by the table title. Tables should not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are only allowed for important points
  • Attached images must be guaranteed that they are printed with good quality (font size, resolution and clearly visible line space). Pictures, tables and charts should be centered between groups of text. If it has a larger size, it can be placed in the center of the page.

 

Guidelines for Writing Manuscript Body Text

  • Title: Must be informative written in a concise and clear manner. There must not be multiple interpretations which must be precise on the issue to be discussed. Written in capital letters and symmetrically. The article title does not contain any unusual abbreviations. The main idea should be written first and followed by an explanation. The title of the article must be written in no more than 15 words. Arial, 14 points, Bold, centered with bold selection and in middle of text format.
  • Author Identity: The author's name is written completely without a title. Arial, 12 points, Bold, centered, followed by the name of the institution and the author's email. either author 1, author 2 and so on.
  • Abstract: Written in English and Indonesian, consisting of an introductory digest (background and objectives), method of implementation, results and discussion, conclusions and suggestions. Abstract written in no more than 300 words, italicized and in one paragraph. (Antiqua's book, 12 points, Intalic, Justify)
  • Keywords: Consists of at least 3 keywords and a maximum of 5 keywords, each of which is separated by a semicolon (;), and italicized. (Book Antiqua, 12 point, Justify)
  • Introduction: Contains descriptions of problems, challenges, or needs of the community (partners) that are the background or inspiration for the implementation of community service activities, objectives, and literature review results. All parts of the introduction are presented in an integrated manner in paragraph form. (Book Antiqua, 12 point, Justify)
  • Implementation Method: Contains descriptions of the stages or steps used to solve problems or describe the solutions offered to overcome community (partner) problems including the language used, tools, evaluation and statistics to analyze data) Writing in the form of paragraphs.   • Discussion: contains theoretical discussions that are relevant to the findings of community service results. It also discusses the theoretical findings of the service process from the beginning until social change occurs. The discussion of the results of community service is strengthened by references and theoretical perspectives that are supported by relevant literature reviews as well Contains the presentation and topics raised. Each result must be discussed and supported by adequate data. The discussion contains the answers stated earlier in the introduction and can be completed with tables, graphs (pictures), and / or charts. (Book Antiqua, 12 point, Justify)
  • Conclusion: contains conclusions and suggestions. The conclusion will be the answer to the achievements and / or goals. Conclusions should not consist only of reiterating results and discussion. It should be a summary of the results as expected by the author in purpose. Suggestions contain a follow-up plan related to the author's ideas. presented in the form of paragraph. In this section, all references used must be taken from primary sources (scientific journals and / or book sources) published in the last ten years. Each article must have at least ten references and be of the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition and sorted alphabetically. (Book Antiqua, 12 points, Bold, Justify). It is recommended to use Zotero or Mendeley for citations

 

Pedoman penulisan Judul, Nama, dan Alamat Penulis

Judul naskah harus ditulis di bagian atas halaman pertama dengan garis tengah perataan teks. Sedangkan nama penulis (tanpa gelar akademik), dan alamat afiliasi penulis, harus ditulis rata tengah teks serta di bawah judul diikuti email penulis. Penulis harus menyediakan satu spasi antara judul dan nama penulis. Kemudian, jarak antara email penulis dan judul abstrak adalah satu spasi. Kata kunci harus ditulis di bawah abstrak keseluruhan untuk semua kata. Selain itu, harus dipisahkan dengan titik koma (;) maksimal tiga sampai lima kata.

Penulis korespondensi harus ditulis terlebih dahulu kemudian diikuti oleh penulis kedua, penulis ketiga, dan seterusnya. Komunikasi mengenai revisi manuskrip dan pernyataan akhir akan diinformasikan melalui email hanya kepada penulis pertama. Jika penulis lebih dari satu, nama penulis harus ditulis terpisah dengan koma (,). Jika nama penulis terdiri dari dua kata, maka nama depannya tidak boleh disingkat. Jika nama penulis hanya satu kata sebaiknya ditulis dengan jelas. Namun, dalam versi online akan ditulis dalam dua kata dengan nama yang sama berulang kali untuk tujuan pengindeksan metadata.

1.  Pedoman Umum Naskah

Pedoman umum untuk naskah adalah sebagai berikut:

  • Naskah yang dikirimkan merupakan naskah yang belum pernah dipublikasikan di media publikasi atau penerbit lain.
  • Naskah tidak mengandung unsur plagiarisme. Dewan redaksi akan segera menolak teks yang menunjukkan plagiarisme.
  • Naskah yang telah ditulis di bawah bimbingan PARTICIPATORY: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (format MS Word) harus diserahkan melalui Online Submission System dengan menggunakan Open Journal System (OJS) pada portal PARTICIPATORY: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (https://ejournal.iai-tabah.ac.id/index.php/Participatory) pilih salah satu prosedur. Kemudian, daftar sebagai penulis di bagian "Daftar".
  • Template dan panduan penulisan skrip tersedia dalam format MS Word (.doc) dan dapat diunduh di sini.
  • Naskah yang tidak relevan dengan pedoman penulisan PARTICIPATORY: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat akan dikembalikan kepada penulis sebelum dilakukan proses review.
  • Naskah harus memuat beberapa aspek artikel ilmiah dengan urutan sebagai berikut: (a) judul, (b) nama penulis (tanpa gelar akademik), (c) institusi penulis, (d) email penulis, (e) abstrak dan kata kunci, (f) pendahuluan, (g) metode pelaksanaan, (h) pembahasan ( (i) kesimpulan, (j) referensi.
  • Sub judul yang terdapat pada (a) pendahuluan, (b) metode pelaksanaan, (c) pembahasan dan hasil, (d) simpulan, dan (e) saran harus diberi nomor urut mulai dari satu. Subtitle ditulis dengan format bold. Ini menggunakan perataan teks kiri tanpa garis bawah. Subtitel diperluas, selanjutnya harus ditulis dengan huruf tebal dan format kalimat. Itu harus menggunakan perataan teks kiri dan format penomoran tingkat kedua.
  • Naskah ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan bahasa baku. Naskah harus ditulis berdasarkan template dan ditulis pada kertas custom dengan ukuran 18 cm (lebar) 25 cm (tinggi) dengan margin 2,49-2,5-2,49-2 cm (Atas-Kiri-Bawah).
  • Teks naskah menggunakan Book Antiqua, 12 point, Bold, left dengan ukuran , Arial, 14 point, Bold, centered, Book Antiqua, 12 point, Justify, Book Antiqua, 12 point, Justify dan Book Antiqua, 11 point, Center untuk keterangan tabel/gambar/grafik.
  • Kata-kata dari bahasa asing atau yang dinyatakan asing diketik dengan format Italic. Setiap paragraf dimulai 10 mm dari batas sisi kiri dengan satu spasi antar paragraf.
  • Tabel dan gambar ditempatkan dalam kelompok teks setelah tabel atau gambar yang direferensikan. Setiap gambar harus diberi label (captioned) di bawah gambar dan diberi nomor diikuti dengan judul gambar. Setiap tabel harus diberi judul tabel (Table Caption) dan diberi nomor di atas tabel diikuti judul tabel. Tabel tidak boleh berisi garis vertikal, sedangkan garis horizontal hanya diperbolehkan untuk poin-poin penting
  • Gambar terlampir harus dijamin tercetak dengan kualitas yang baik (ukuran font, resolusi dan spasi garis yang terlihat jelas). Gambar, tabel, dan bagan harus dipusatkan di antara kelompok teks. Jika ukurannya lebih besar, bisa diletakkan di tengah halaman.

 

  1. Pedoman Penulisan Body Text Naskah
  • Judul: Harus informatif ditulis dengan singkat dan jelas. Tidak boleh ada multitafsir yang harus tepat mengenai masalah yang akan dibahas. Ditulis dengan huruf kapital dan simetris. Judul artikel tidak mengandung singkatan yang tidak biasa. Gagasan utama harus ditulis terlebih dahulu dan diikuti dengan penjelasan. Judul artikel harus ditulis tidak lebih dari 15 kata, Arial, 14 point, Bold, centered dengan pilihan tebal dan di tengah format teks.
  • Identitas Penulis : Nama penulis ditulis lengkap tanpa gelar. Book Antiqua, 12 point, Bold, centered diikuti nama institusi dan email penulis. baik penulis 1, penulis 2 dan seterusnya.
  • Abstrak: Ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia, terdiri dari intisari pendahuluan (latar belakang dan tujuan), metode pelaksanaan, hasil dan pembahasan, simpulan dan saran. Abstrak ditulis tidak lebih dari 250 kata, dicetak miring dan dalam satu paragraph (Antiqua's book, 12 points, Intalic,Justify)
  • Kata Kunci: Terdiri dari minimal 3 kata kunci dan maksimal 5 kata kunci yang masing-masing dipisahkan dengan titik koma (;), dan dicetak miring. (Book Antiqua, 12 point, Justify)
  • Pendahuluan: berisi penjelasan mengapa masalah perlu diteliti (signifikansi penelitian) dan semua data pendukung atau bukti ilmiah berdasarkan pengamatan pribadi atau hasil penelitian peneliti lain. Pendahuluan juga Berisi tentang uraian masalah, tantangan, atau kebutuhan masyarakat (mitra) yang menjadi latar belakang atau inspirasi pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, tujuan, dan hasil kajian literatur. Seluruh bagian pendahuluan disajikan secara terpadu dalam bentuk paragraf. (Book Antiqua, 12 point, Justify)
  • Metode Pelaksanaan : Berisi uraian tentang tahapan atau langkah-langkah yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah atau menguraikan solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi masalah masyarakat (mitra) meliputi bahasa yang digunakan, alat, evaluasi dan statistik untuk menganalisis data dan tulisan dalam bentuk paragraf.   • Pembahasan : berisi diskusi teoritik yang relevan dengan temuan hasil pengabdian masyarakat. Juga mendiskusikan tentang temuan teoritis dari proses pengabdian mulai awal sampai terjadinya perubahan sosial. Pembahasan hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini dikuatkan dengan referensi dan perspektif teoretik yang didukung dengan literature review yang relevan dan juga Berisi tentang pemaparan dan topik yang diangkat. Setiap hasil harus didiskusikan dan didukung oleh data yang memadai. Pembahasan berisi jawaban-jawaban yang dikemukakan di awal pendahuluan dan dapat dilengkapi dengan tabel, grafik (gambar), dan/atau bagan. (Book Antiqua, 12 point, Justify)
  • Simpulan : berisi kesimpulan dan saran. Kesimpulan akan menjadi jawaban atas pencapaian dan/atau tujuan. Kesimpulan tidak boleh hanya terdiri dari mengulangi hasil dan diskusi. Ini harus menjadi ringkasan hasil seperti yang diharapkan oleh penulis di tujuan. Saran berisi rencana tindak lanjut yang berkaitan dengan gagasan penulis. disajikan dalam bentuk paragraf.   • Referensi: Semua referensi yang digunakan dalam naskah harus dicantumkan di bagian ini. Pada bagian ini, semua referensi yang digunakan harus diambil dari sumber primer (jurnal ilmiah dan/atau sumber buku) yang diterbitkan dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir. Setiap artikel harus memiliki setidaknya sepuluh referensi dan standar American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition dan diurutkan secara alfabetis. (Book Antiqua, 12 point, Bold, Justify). Direkomendasikan untuk menggunakan Zotero atau Mendeley dalam melakukan sitasi.
