Author Guidelines
AUTHOR GUIDELINES
1. General Requirements
Manuscripts submitted to this journal must conform to the following formatting specifications:
a Page Setup: A4 paper size
b Font: Garamond throughout the manuscript.
c Spacing: Single line spacing for the entire manuscript.
d Length: 6,000–10,000 words, inclusive of all text, figures, tables, references, and appendices.
e Language: English for English-language articles; Arabic for Arabic-language articles.
f Page Numbering: Do not number pages.
g Section Heading:
1) Main section headings (e.g., INTRODUCTION, METHOD, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION) are written in Garamond 12 bold, capital letters, without indentation.
2) Subheadings are limited to two spaces within the body and follow sentence case.
2. Structure of the Manuscript
The manuscript must be organized in the following order:
a Title of the paper
b Author names and affiliations
c Abstract (English)
d Keywords (English)
e Abstrak (Indonesian)
f Kata Kunci (Indonesian)
g Introduction
h Method
i Results and Discussion
j Conclusion
k Acknowledgment (if any)
l Bibliography
Do not use numbering for these sections.
3. Title of the Article
a Format: Garamond 12, bold, capital letters, left alignment.
b Length: Maximum 15 words.
c Content: A single sentence that describes the substance of the article.
Example: INTEGRATING SUSTAINABILITY VALUES INTO ISLAMIC EDUCATION CURRICULUM FOR COASTAL SCHOOLS
4. Author Names and Affiliations
a Written below the title.
b Full name of each author (without academic titles).
c Superscript numbers (1,2,3…) after each name to indicate affiliation.
d Affiliation: Full institution address, including city, province, country.
e Corresponding author email: Written below affiliations, using Garamond 11, left alignment.
Example:
First Author¹, Second Author²

5. Dates
a Format: Garamond 10.
b Placement: Below corresponding author email.
c Sequence: Received, Accepted, Published.
Example:
Received: January 10, 2026. Accepted: March 15, 2026. Published: March 30, 2026.
6. Abstract and Abstrak
English Abstract
a Font: Garamond 11.
b Spacing: Single spacing, justified.
c Length: Exactly 200-300 words.
d Content (must include):
e Issue / background
f Purpose (objectives of the research)
g Method (data collection, approach)
h Results (key findings that answer research questions)
i Impact and conclusion (summary of findings and contribution)
j Keywords: Garamond 11, 3–5 essential concept words, arranged alphabetically.
Indonesian Abstrak
a Font: Garamond 11, italic.
b Spacing: Single spacing, justified.
c Length: Exactly 200 words.
d Content: Same as English abstract (tujuan, metode, hasil temuan, simpulan).
e Kata Kunci: Garamond 11 italic, 3–5 kata penting, disusun alfabetis.
7. Introduction
a Heading: Garamond 12 bold, capital letters, left alignment, no indentation.
b Body: Garamond 12, single spacing, justified.
c Content must include:
d Problem statement: Describe the problem and relevance of the research.
e Literature review: Summary of relevant previous research.
f Research gap: What previous studies have not done.
g Purpose and significance: What the study seeks to achieve and why it matters.
8. Method
The method section must be written in Garamond 12, single spacing, justified.
For Quantitative Research:
a Type of research
b Data source
c Data collection (including instruments and validity evidence)
d Data analysis (descriptive and inferential, including software used)
For Qualitative Research:
a Research approach (e.g., case study, phenomenology, ethnography)
b Data source and participant selection criteria
c Data collection techniques (interviews, observation, documentation)
d Data analysis (technique or software, e.g., thematic analysis, coding)
e Trustworthiness strategies (triangulation, member checking, etc.)
All components must be clearly described as evidence of the research process.
9. Results and Discussion
Findings (may include subheadings)
a Present original field data obtained from questionnaires, surveys, documents, interviews, observations, or other techniques.
b Data may be clarified using tables, figures, or graphs.
Tables
a Centered and numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, …).
b Table title: Placed above the table, centered, Garamond 11 bold. Example: Table 1. Summary of Islamic Education Student Performance
c Source: Placed below the table, right alignment, Garamond 10.
Figures
a Centered and numbered consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, …).
b Figure caption: Placed below the figure, centered, Garamond 11. Example: Figure 1. Conceptual Framework of Sustainability Integration
Equations
a Centered, numbered consecutively on the right side in parentheses (Eq.1), (Eq.2), etc.
b One blank line above and below the equation before the text continues.
Analysis
Interpret the data using specific techniques and theories (including the researcher's own ideas).
Must include:
a Interpretation of results in accordance with the research purpose.
b Comparison with previous research.
c Theoretical and practical implications.
d Limitations of the research.
e Recommendations for future research.
Citations in Text
a Use APA 7th Edition style.
b Strongly recommended to use reference management software: Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
10. Conclusion
a Format: Garamond 12 bold (heading), body Garamond 12, single spacing.
b No indentation for the first line of the conclusion paragraph.
c Content:
1) Succinct summary of results and discussion.
2) Major contributions of the research to the development of science and praxis in Islamic education.
3) Suggestions for future research.
11. Acknowledgment (if any)
a Written in Garamond 12, single spacing.
b Used to thank institutions or individuals who contributed to the research (e.g., funders, research assistants).
c Include research contract or grant number if applicable.
Example:
*This research was supported by the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Research Excellence Grant scheme (Contract No. 123/2025).*
12. Bibliography
a Font: Palatyno Linotype 12. (Note: different from body font; use this specifically for references)
b Style: APA 7th Edition.
c Minimum number of references: 30.
d At least 50% of references must be journal articles.
e All references must be accessible and reputable.
f Sorted alphabetically by the first author's last name.
13. Recommended Tools
To facilitate the writing process, authors are strongly encouraged to use:
a Reference managers: Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
b Grammar checker: Grammarly.
c Formatting: Follow this guideline strictly to avoid rejection due to technical errors.
