AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Manuscripts submitted to our editorial office will be considered for publication if they meet the following criteria:

  1. The manuscript should be scholarly and focused on the examination of issues related to the study of the Qur'an and Tafsir. Additionally, it should be original and based on research and literature reviews that contribute to the development of Qur'anic and Tafsir studies.

  2. The article must be original, research-based, unpublished, and not currently under review for publication in any other journal.

  3. The article can be written in Indonesian, English, or Arabic.

  4. The article should include a title, author's name, institution, email address, abstract, keywords, content, and reference list.

  5. The article title should be specific, effective, clear, and no more than 15 words.

  6. The authors do not need to include academic titles.

  7. The manuscript should be formatted in a single-column format, using Times New Arabic 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing, justified alignment, on A4 paper (210 x 297 mm), with left, top, right, and bottom margins set at 2.5 cm. The manuscript should be between 4000 and 6000 words.

  8. Each submission should include an abstract of 150-250 words and 3-5 keywords. The abstract of a research article should provide a brief background, research objectives, research methods, and important findings. The manuscript should be typed in Microsoft Word format, either in RTF (Rich Text Format) or Doc (Word Document), and submitted to the editorial office through the submission facility on the website.

  9. Footnotes should follow the citation style of the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition (full note). Use a Reference Manager application (such as Mendeley or Zotero), and the font used should be Times New Arabic 9pt, justified alignment, and 1 spacing.

  10. Bibliographic references should be noted in footnotes and listed in the bibliography according to the guidelines of Al-Furqan: Journal of Qur'anic and Tafsir Studies.

  11. Translated manuscripts must adhere to transliteration rules.

  12. All article manuscripts will be reviewed by qualified academics in the field. This process may take weeks or months.

  13. Authors will be notified of rejected manuscripts through the OJS (Online Journal Systems) or via email.
