We would like to inform you that starting from the June 2025 edition, Al Furqan: Jurnal Ilmu Al Quran dan Tafsir will implement several significant changes to the policies regarding manuscript submission, writing, and reference formatting. These changes aim to enhance the quality of publications and expand the journal's readership. Below are the details of the changes to be applied:

  1. Manuscript Submission Deadlines
    Manuscript submissions will now be limited to a maximum of 2 months before the publication deadline for each edition:

    • June Edition: Submission period is January 1–April 30.
    • December Edition: Submission period is July 1–October 31.
      Manuscripts received after these dates will be processed for the subsequent publication edition. We encourage authors to submit manuscripts early to ensure an optimal review process.

  2. Language of Manuscripts
    All submitted manuscripts must be written in English to meet international standards and improve the accessibility of research across different countries. This policy aims to broaden the journal's scientific scope and increase the visibility and impact of the articles.

  3. Reference Format
    Please note that the reference format will transition from the Chicago style used in previous editions to the APA (American Psychological Association) style starting from the June 2025 edition. Authors are advised to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero to ensure consistency and ease in compiling the bibliography.

  4. Inclusion of Author's WhatsApp Number
    Authors are required to include an active WhatsApp number in their manuscript or in the comment box as part of their contact information. This is intended to facilitate communication between the editorial team and the authors during the publication process.
