Tren Lembaga Pendidikan Islam Ekslusif-Elit Menjawab Tantangan Era Modern

Exclusive-elite Islamic educational institutions are educational institutions that meet specific requirements and are limited to certain regions. More often than not, these institutions have high academic standards. They offer in-depth Islamic religious training and a comprehensive academic curriculum. This research aims to explain the trends of exclusive-elite Islamic educational institutions in facing challenges in the contemporary era. This research uses qualitative library analysis. The results of this study indicate that the presence of exclusive-elite Islamic educational institutions has brought a new dimension to the development of education in Indonesia. Exclusive-elite Islamic educational institutions aim to combine religious education, which is characteristic of pesantren, with modern education, which is characteristic of general schools. Due to their adequate facilities, the cost of schooling has become increasingly expensive, and most of them are only accessible to the Muslim middle class.
