Metode Pembelajaran dan Implikasinya Terhadap Keterampilan Pemahaman Teks Bacaan Bahasa Inggris

This research is meant to explore the differences of reading comprehension skill on English
which was taught using different instructional methods (CIRC Vs Conventional) on the female
learners grade VIII. The analysis was nonequivalent control group design. There were 115
learners of two different junior high school participated which was classified into two groups
namely two (2) experimental groups and two (2) control groups. The data analysis was
Independent Sample T-Test. The finding shown; (1) statistically, there wasn’t significant
difference on English reading texts comprehension before being taught using CIRC method
with mean 61.9153 versus conventional method with mean 61.4444.( 2) Statistically, there’s
significant differences on English reading comprehension between the experimental groups
and control groups with average mean 79.1864 for CIRC and mean 60.2143 for conventional
method. Based on this research, CIRC method is so effective method that it can develop and
improve students’ reading comprehension ability
