Persepsi Masyarakat Ganjaran  Terhadap Minat Belajar Santri di Pondok Pesantren Raudlatul Ulum 1 Putri Gondanglegi

Raudlatul Ulum 1 Putri Ganjaran Gondanglegi Malang Islamic Boarding School has experienced significant developments in terms of education and facilities along with the progress of the times. However, this change also poses new challenges in the learning interests of students, especially in the field of religious education. This study aims to analyze the perception of the community, especially teaching staff, towards the learning interests of students at this Islamic boarding school. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teaching staff, alumni, and guardians of students. The results of the study indicate that the modernization of Islamic boarding schools has a positive impact on improving educational facilities, but also presents challenges in maintaining traditional Islamic values. Several teaching staff stated that students' interest in religious education has decreased, which is influenced by modernization, changes in learning patterns, and the lack of role models from administrators and seniors. Other contributing factors are the dualism of education between formal and religious systems, as well as the influence of the social environment that reduces students' enthusiasm for learning religion. The conclusion of this study explains that the Raudlatul Ulum 1 Putri Islamic Boarding School remains an Islamic educational institution trusted by the community, but faces challenges in maintaining students' interest in learning and morals. Factors that influence this condition include a decrease in interest in learning religious education, a decline in students' morals, and the impact of modernization in Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, a strategy is needed to balance formal and religious education, strengthen students' character, and increase the role of teaching staff and administrators in providing role models. With collective efforts from all parties, it is hoped that Islamic boarding schools can continue to be centers of Islamic education that excel in forming students with character and noble morals.
