Filsafat Kependidikan Islam Klasik:  Telaah atas Pemikiran Kependidikan  Prespektif Al-Ghazali

The purpose of this paper is to discuss his brief biography and thoughts on Islamic education. Concerning the goals of education, curriculum, teacher and student manners, especially in Islamic education. With the aim of giving people more knowledge about Al-Ghazali's thoughts on Islamic education. The researcher used qualitative research methods to obtain data in this study. The type of library research is research whose data is obtained from the process of examining books, which are primary and secondary data sources. Content analysis is a data analysis technique that breaks down problems into conceptual arrangements, then codes or names, and then the results are used to draw conclusions about the messages in the text being studied. The results of the study provide knowledge about thoughts in Al-Ghazali's perspective, where the world of education must prioritize respect for knowledge, which he considers important. The consequence of respect for knowledge is respect for teachers. Imam al-Ghazali also emphasized the importance of paying attention to urgent factors in the world of education. In addition, al-Ghazali's thoughts on life and life values, the formation of a curriculum according to the portion of knowledge and his great interest in science are also important elements in learning.
